Lambert receives First Year Basic Science Award

Kellianne Lambert of Atlanta, Texas, was recently honored with the First Year Basic Science Award at Southern College of Optometry. The award, with recipients selected by the SCO faculty, recognizes students who have excelled academically and demonstrated outstanding clinical skills.

Lambert is the daughter of Pam and Kelly Huffman and the granddaughter of Billie Ann and Charles Huffman and Billie Jo and Duncan Thompson. She is married to Carson Lambert. Lambert is a graduate of Atlanta High School and Texas A&M University.

Each year, Southern College of Optometry recognizes its most outstanding students at a convocation ceremony in the fall semester. For the 2021-2022 school year, 94 students were honored with awards and scholarships worth nearly $100,000.
