QC falls to Yellowjackets

Queen City opened district play against a tough Elysian Fields’ team last Friday night.

The Bulldogs battled but fell to the Yellowjackets 46-8.

Elysian Fields had a 14-0 lead before QC quarterback Clint Wiley connected with Rylee Green on a 27-yard touchdown.

Jeremiah Drayton ran in the 2-point play and QC was down just 14-8.

Unfortunately QC didn’t score again in the contest and four turnovers and a turnover on downs didn’t help.

Wiley had 30 yards passing and Green had 22 receiving yards with a TD.

Queen City travels to New Diana to take on the Eagles this Friday night.

Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
