The Lady Rabbs’ volleyball squad ran its’ district record to 4-0 after topping DeKalb last Friday night.
With that 5-set, thriller win the Lady Rabbs have a 9-game winning streak going.
Against the Lady Bears Rylie Patillo had 33 assists, three aces, one kill and 16 service points, Kym Sheppard added 24 kills and four blocks; Sabriiyah Young had eight kills and three blocks; Destinee Wells posted four kills, one ace and seven service points; Keymya Smith had eight kills and a block; Williams published three kills and three blocks; Kinlee Hamilton put up two kills and a block; Kaylon Partain had two kills, two assists and five service points; AnneMarie Hanner recorded 10 assists, two aces, one kill and seven service points; Cara Taylor had four aces and 12 points; Alley Jefferson added an ace and eight points and Ziza Garcia posted an ace and seven points.
The Lady Rabbs will finish out the first round of district this Friday night against Hooks.
Lady Bulldogs
On Sept. 21, Queen City’s high school volleyball program took on DeKalb.
The varsity team battled but lost in three sets 23-25, 21-25, 12-25.
Jamecia Cook rocked the net with five blocks and one kill; Chyna Stiger added 11 kills; Lauren Carrell posted five kills and four aces and Trinity Oden led serving with seven service points, three of them being aces.
The JV1 team won in three sets 27-25, 16-25, 25-23.
Jordan Jones had 12 service points, one kill and one ace; Alex Larry added eight service points, two kills and three aces and Macey Granderson and Laurel Moore each recorded an additional three kills each.
The JV2 won in three sets 25-17, 23-25, 25-23.
Paitynn Weeks had nine kills and three aces; Ruby McCasland had 11 total service points, two kills and five aces and Macey Granderson put up nine total service points, seven of which were aces.
On Sept. 24, Queen City played in Redwater. The varsity team battled and came away with a big district win with scores of 20-25, 26-24, 25-21, 22-25.
Jamecia Cook led on the net with nine blocks and six kills; Chyna Stiger posted nine kills, seven aces and 16 total service points; Lauren Carrell added six kills three blocks and 10 digs; Mallori Stringer had 27 assists, three kills and five digs; Brenna Turbeville recorded 14 digs, four aces and 10 total service points;
Trinity Oden logged five kills and five digs and Nyla Harrison published five aces and six total service points.

On Sept. 20, Morris Upchurch Middle School’s volleyball programs took on Red Lick.
The seventh grade A team won in two sets with scores of 25-10 and 25-17. Macy Snelgrove scored 14 points and River Holcomb added six.
The B team split wins against the Lady Mustangs with scores of 25-8 and 18-20. Anna Young led QC with 10 points and Emerson Wilbanks posted eight.
The eighth grade A team won in three sets with scores of 25-14, 12-25 and 25-22. Makayla Jackson and Laekin Campbell each had 10 points and Dori Sasser scored nine.
