Queen City Bass teams fish Lake O’ the Pines
On Saturday, Sept. 4, the Queen City Bass Fishing Association had its first tournament of the year on Lake O’ the Pines.
QC had five boats and 10 anglers that fished. They endured a rather hot day; one angler took a dip in the lake to cool off.
At the end of the day the results were: first place with 12.02 pounds the team of Clayton Whittenberg and Case Wiley - boat captain Barry Watkins; second place with 2.78 pounds the team of Dylan Benson and Evan Benson - boat captain Mike Benson; and third place with 2.22 pounds the team of Sawyer Smith and William Hall - boat captain Jason Engledowell.
Big Bass went to Clayton Whittenberg with a bass weighing 3.80 pounds.
Also fishing were Peyton Fahrney and Carter Aucoin - boat captain Greg Aucoin, and Eli Elliott and Landon Drake - boat captain Brad Elliott.
QC’s next tournament will be on Lake Wright Patman on Saturday, Oct. 2.
