Except Ye Abide

ABIDE- To remain or to stay.

Leviticus 8:33-35, And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your consecration be at an end, for seven days shall he consecrate you.

As he hath done this day, so the Lord had commanded to do, to make an atonement for you. Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the Lord, that you die not, for so I am commanded.

God told the children of Israel to abide there so they would not die. Sometimes when God tells us to stay in a place, that place is in him.

Psalm 15:1-2, LORD, Who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart.

We must abide in the righteousness of the Lord, no matter what comes our way. The righteousness of God will take us through.

Luke 19:5,, And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down, for today I must abide at thy house.

The Lord told Zacchaeus to make haste, he was coming to abide with him!

We are the temple of the Lord, he not only walks with us, but he abides in us. And he will never leave us nor for sake us.

St. John 14:16, and I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with you forever. Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him, but you know him, for he dwells with you, and shall be in you.

St. John 15:1; 4-7, I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 4. Abide in me, and I in you, as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine, no more can you, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered, and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.

The life that we live in Christ Jesus should shine so that people can see that we are children of God! Sometimes all it takes is a smile, or a kind word to encourage someone.

Ye shall ask....Abiding in Jesus gives us the authority to ask, and we shall receive!

1 John 2:24, Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father. And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

Paul said except you abide in the ship, you can’t be saved! Saints, stay in the ship!

Children, stay connected to the vine, stay in Christ Jesus, and don’t let anything pull you away from him! Continue to abide in him, and he in you!
