But the Lord

We all have a “but God” testimony. A time in our life when if it hadn’t been for God, we wouldn’t have made it. Genesis 8:1 says, and God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark; and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided.

The enemy comes in like a flood, but God remembers you, and the waters will subside. When others war against you remember Psalm 18:18, they prevented me in the time of my calamity, but the Lord was my stay. Others may and try to oppose you, but God is your support.

If God be for us, who can be against us; Romans 8:31. When everyone else forsakes you, God has promised to never leave you.

Timothy 4:17 says, in my final hours everyone forsook me, but the Lord stood with me; God is faithful, and knowing that He is on my side and will stand with me is priceless. Matthew 19:26 says, Jesus looked at them and said, with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.

We can’t do anything without God. But fortunately, God can do anything! God has told us not to listen to man, but to His word. 2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 says, pray that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men because not all men have faith. But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you and keep you from evil. His promises still stand, no matter what man says.

Ephesians 2:3-5, among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved).

God’s mercy and love for us is greater than anything we go through. Nothing is stronger, and nothing is more permanent than his love for us.

Acts 13:29-30, and when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulcher. But God raised him from the dead. Even when it looks like it’s the end, and you think all hope is lost, don’t give up.

God can resurrect anything you’ve lost. God can resurrect your promises. I was drowning in the storm, but God.

In my time of war, but God. I needed a miracle, but God. When I see my weakness, but God. Fear, anxiety, doubt, guilt, regret, grief, loss, shame, hurt, anger....but God.

Tell someone your but God testimony today and ask them about their testimony, because everybody has one.
