Cass County students graduate from UA Hope
Four students from Cass County graduated from the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana on May 11. Among them were Erica Henderson and Jared Upchurch of Atlanta, Tiffany Heath of Douglassville, and Jessica Mincey-Meece of Linden.
Henderson received her Technical Certificate in Practical Nursing, Upchurch received his Associate of Applied Science in Nursing, Heath received her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing as an Honor Graduate, and Mincey-Meece received her Technical Certificate in Practical Nursing as an Honor Graduate.
The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana traces its roots to Red River Vocational-Technical School which was established in 1965. Providing several changes throughout the years, the college officially became a division of the University of Arkansas system and was renamed to University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana. UA occupies a 72-acre site and enrolls over 1,500 students at its two campuses.
The UA commencement ceremony was held at Hempstead Hall on the Hope campus.
