Local schools compete in Rabbit Pride Relays

McLeod’s JV boys’ track team placed second with 141 in the Rabbit Pride Relays behind host Atlanta Apr. 1.
New Diana was third with 77 points, Jefferson had 73.5, Brownsboro had 40, Elysian Fields 28.5, Clarksville 22, Detroit 11 and Maud six.
In the 800m run Nos Gryder placed first at 2:14.66, Logan McLean second at 2:18.43 and Jonathon McKnight sixth at 2:25.40; in the 1600m run McClean placed first at 1:20.31 and Jase Deaton placed third at 5:30.35; in the 3200m run McKnight placed first at 11:16.16 and TJ Klingensmith placed second at 12:06.65 and in the 110m hurdles Nathan Parker placed second at 18.48.
The 4x100m relay team of Austin Gilmore, Nathan Parker, Trenton McKnight and Tyler Williams placed fifth at 48.18; the 4x200m relay team of Austin Gilmore, Gabe Groves, Logan McClean and Nos Gryder placed fourth at 1:40.99 and the 4x400m relay team of Gabe Groves, Keldyn Schubert, Nos Gryder and Tyler Williams placed second at 3:50.48.
In long jump McLeod finished 1-2-3 with Schubert placing first at 19 feet, 9 icnes, Williams second at 19 feet, 5 1/2 inches and Groves third at 18 feet, 2 inches; in triple jump Schubert placed first at 41 feet, 3 3/4 inches and Williams placed second at 38 feet, 8 1/4 inches and in high jump Trenton McKnight placed first at 5 feet, 8 inches.
Schubert also placed second in the 300m hurdles at 41.39 and Gryder third in high jump at 6 feet, 2 inches for varsity.
JV Girls
McLeod’s JV girls’ team placed third with 74 points behind Atlanta and Detroit.
Clarksville placed fourth with 59 points, Brownsboro had 45, Maud 32, Jefferson 25 and Bloomburg 14.
In the 200m dash Shantazia Reliford placed fourth at 30.26; in the 800m run Ella Lambeth placed first at 2:48.57 and Chassie Gryder placed second at 3:06.39; in the 1600m run Autumn Prince placed second at 7:51.45 and in the 300m hurdles Ella Lambeth placed second at 54.85.
Gryder placed third at 14 feet, 3 inches in the long jump and third at 29 feet, 2 1/2 inches in triple jump; Ella Lambeth placed first in high jump with a mark of 5 feet even; Sibbie Comer placed first in discus with a toss of 87 feet, 9 inches and in shot Jessica Lawson placed fourth at 25 feet, 1 inch.
Rileyn Schubert placed second overall in the 800m run with a time of 2:43.49 and first in the 3200m run at 13:12.99 for the varsity team.
Bloomburg
Bloomburg’s JV girls’ track team competed in the Rabbit Pride Relays Apr. 1.
In the 1600m run Carley Castagnetta placed first at 7:28.47; in discus Lillian Hooker placed fifth at 56 feet even and Synthia Rico placed sixth at 53 feet, 2 inches and in triple jump Kenzie LaDuke placed sixth at 24 feet, 9 inches.
For the varsity squad Cassie Glasgow placed sixth at 13.84 in the 100m dash and fifth in the 400m dash at 1:07.21 and Jacee Glasgow placed first overall in the 100m hurdles with a time of 18.87.
