Lady Tigers’ golf team wins district, boys place second overall

Both programs of Linden-Kildare golf competed in the District 16-2A tournament last week.

The ladies’ team had a fantastic day and walked away as district champions. Not only did they claim the team championship, they also took the top 4 individual scores.

Kendall Wells earned District Champion, Cambree Kerr placed second, Allie Smallwood third and Presley Turner fourth. Kyndal Fitts also played very well.

The men’s team competed well and finished in second place overall as a team. L-K had two boys that placed in the top 6 individually.

Mason Johnson earned District Champion and Jonathan Owen placed fourth.

Dylan Stanley and Kyler Fitts also represented L-K very well.

Both teams qualified for the regional tournament which will take place Apr. 21-22, in Ferris, Texas.
