Terri’s: A Treasure for 25 years
It’s hard to stay in business for a long period of time, anywhere, these days. To do it in a small town, where buildings are bought and sold almost yearly, is no small feat.
When Terri Hodge Rutland opened her store in 1996 on the corner of East and Hiram streets, little did she know that it would be one of a small handful of downtown businesses still open 25 years later. But Terri’s Treasures is still here, with no plans of closing any time soon.
Selling boutique baby and children’s clothing and more, she also carries a full dance wardrobe for local ballerinas. Terri can also be seen backstage at dance recitals, helping longtime friend and dance instructor, Tammie Duncan.
“Terri is an awesome advocate for Atlanta. She is a passionate business person who felt a deep desire to reach out to moms and moms-to-be in the area and provide personal heirloom clothing for children,” said Tammie. “She is a truly dedicated person to our community by providing a truly unique clothing experience from monogramming to custom clothing for our special life moments.”
Just as her children have grown up and given her grandchildren, her clientele has also. “Some of the babies I had registered here in the beginning are now registering their own babies,” Terri exclaimed. “I’m working on two generations of customers.”
To make sure your child, or grandchild, is the best dressed in town, you can find the trendiest fashions at this independently owned local business.
