That is Who He is
2 Timothy 3:1-4 - This know also, that in the last days, perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent (without self-control), fierce (brutal), despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady (reckless), high minded (haughty), lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God.
V. 12 - Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.
Well it looks to me like perilous times are here! And have been for generations! It looks like ungodly men have taken control of the whole world and we are doomed!
But let me remind you that God is still on the throne, He is still involved in the affairs of this world, He is still in control of all things, He sees all the wickedness and corruption, the deception and ungodliness.
His Word warned us of these days. Jesus told His disciples to watch and to pray! We know God’s word will come to pass, so therefore we have hope! And that hope is in Christ Jesus! The Savior of the world! Let me tell you who He is!
He’s the way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, Light in the darkness, My God!
That is who He is! He’s the Great I Am, the Lord of hosts, the King of Glory, the Lord God Jehovah, Holy One of Israel, the Most High God, the Bright and Morning Star, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and Omega, the Horn of my Salvation, the Lord thy Redeemer!
Oh wait.....He’s also the Bread that came down from heaven, the Good Shepherd, the True Vine, the Light of the World, the Prince of Peace, the Everlasting Father, our Counselor, healer, help, hope, strength, deliverer, provider, refuge, rock, stronghold, shield!
He’s also Wonderful, Powerful, Almighty, Glorious, Everlasting, Victorious, our soon coming King! And He’s moving in our midst, in our lives, in our hearts and in this world!
Don’t be discouraged Saints! Don’t get fearful by what you see or hear. God will take care of all things in its time.
Look up, rejoice, because He never stops working for our good. He will never leave us, He is with us always, even till the end of the world!
Keep your faith in God, keep your eyes toward heaven, and your lamps burning bright.
We will keep going forward and even when we don’t see it, we will still believe that He is working! Waymaker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness, my God, THAT is who You are! God bless.
