Bail set at $1 million each
Kristopher “Flip” Allen Fate Wilson, 25, of Atlanta and Brandon Lasuan Parkman, 18, are charged with capital murder for the Dec. 27 shooting death of Chase Porier of Bowie County and have received court-appointed attorneys.
Wilson was arrested Monday, Dec. 28, and booked into the Cass County Jail for allegedly robbing and killing an east Texas man in Bowie County.
According to a witness, the victim, 27-year-old Aaron Porier, was fatally shot when confronted by two men who showed up at his home unannounced and robbed him of his marijuana.
The Bowie County Sheriff ’s Office said the homicide took place about 7:46 p.m. at a residence in the 100 See BAIL page 2 block of Forest Circle in Texarkana, Tex. where the two men then took cellphones belonging to the victim and the witness and left in a blue, two-door car with a black bumper, the Bowie County, Texas, Sheriff ’s Office reports.
Investigators identified Wilson as a suspect first and interviewed him at his residence in Atlanta. Wilson allegedly allowed a search of his home where a handgun and THC cartridges matching ones stolen from Porier were found.
Parkman was identified as a suspect after Wilson’s arrest. He turned himself in Dec. 30.
Both men appeared Feb. 2 before 102nd District Judge Jeff Addison who appointed the Bowie County Public Defender’s Office to represent Parkman and Texarkana attor ney Derric McFarland to represent Wilson.
Assistant District Attorney Randle Smolarz asked the court to refer the cases to the Bowie County grand jury.
If found guilty of capital murder Parkman and Wilson face life without parole or death by lethal injection. Both men are being held in the Bowie County Jail. Bail is set at $1 million each.
