Texas-themed Christmas parade set

The annual Atlanta Christmas Parade will be held this Saturday, December 5, at 5:30 p.m. The route will start heading west on Main Street, turning on East Street, then again onto Hiram Street – ending at the end of Hiram at Park Street.

The theme for this years parade is “Merry Christmas, Y’all” emphasizing Texas as the inspiration for float design. Anyone age 10 and over can throw candy into the crowd.

“Lighting elements should be present as the parade takes place after dark,” said Miranda Johnson, Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce Director. “Be creative and do your own interpretation of the theme to fit your organization.”

It is recommended that all attendees follow all CDC guidelines regarding distancing, handwashing, face covering and reducing the spread of COVID19. Attending large gatherings increases your risk of illness.
