M.U.M.S. had their first STEAM Extravaganza on Sep.25. Students rotated through stations including; coding, think tank problem solving, Makey Makey, digital escape rooms, and virtual field trips.

The school also had three presenters that shared their career and activities with students.

Penny Wilkerson, wildlife biologist, presented her “Oh, Deer” presentation to sixth and seventh graders. Jessica Rymel, county extension agent, presented her colonization of Mars activity to fifth and sixth grade students. Todd Warren, chief meteorologist at Channel 6 News, visited with eighth grade students to share about his experience as a meteorologist.

It was a great day of learning and fun. High school leadership students were valuable volunteers during the STEAM event.
