Polling places, times, deadlines set for November election

Early voting is October 13 thru October 30, Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., however on October 20 and October 27 the hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Early voting locations are in Linden at the Voting Building, 227 E Rush Street (across from the Linden Post Office) and in Atlanta at the North East Texas Property Management Building (the old Horne Enterprise building), 101 E Pinecrest Drive (corners of Highways 77 and 43). (Note: normally when we type “Northeast Texas” north and east are as one word, however, the building lists the words North and East separately).

October 23 is the last day to submit a request for a ballot by mail.

For the November 3 election only, voters who are 65 or older or disabled have the option to return their ballot in person to the County Clerk’s Office. Voters can only return their ballot, they cannot return a ballot for their spouse or family/friends. Those who return their ballot in person will be required to present ID and sign a ballot return roster. We encourage voters to return their ballot as soon as possible to ensure it received by November 3.

We expect a large turn-out for this election so those who vote in person, whether during early voting or on Election Day, are asked to be patient, as lines may be longer than usual.
