Atlanta Middle School teams dominate White Oak

The seventh grade A team blanked White Oak 28-0.

Jayden Riley got started early on having to score twice on the same drive, the first 40-yard touchdown run was negated by a penalty, but Riley answered a play later from 45 yards out.

Kayden Linwood would add the two points and the Rabbits were up 8-0. After a quick three-and-out, Riley would score once again on a 45-yard dash. Toddy Webster added the 2-point run on a jet sweep and increased the score to 16-0.

In the second quarter, Riley dropped back to pass, escaped the pocket and went untouched for another 50-yard touchdown which pushed the score to 22-0.

In the third quarter Riley would bust another one from 43 yards out untouched to make it 28-0. The clock would not stop for the rest of the game and the Rabbs capped off another impressive win and now sit at 1-0 in district play.

Riley finished the day with four carries for 185 yards and four touchdowns.

Other standouts for the Rabbs were Aden Bolt, Toddy Webster and Malaki Richardson added an interception.

Braylen Bush threw a nice touchdown pass of 50 yards to Cullen Duhon, Marshawn Woodberry scored from five yards out, Tylton Surratt, Nick Mooneyham and Tevin Thursby added nice runs in the Rabbs’ 14-6 victory.

The eighth grade Rabbs topped White Oak 44-0.

On the opening drive of the game Markeylin Batton and Landon Johnson both had nice runs to set the Rabbs up inside the 25.

On the next play Easton Owens found Asher Wells wide open for a nice touchdown throw and catch.

Jamarion Austin added the 2-point try and the Rabbs went up 8-0.

On the ensuing drive Asher Wells recovered a fumbled snap to set the Rabbs up deep in Roughneck territory.

Two plays later Batton raced around the left end and danced through the defense for a touchdown. Rowe added the two points to increase the lead to 16-0.

In the second quarter DC Range made a good punt return and Austin took the initial handoff, cut back across the field and waltzed into the end zone from 35 yards out.

Johnson added the two point play and the score was set at 24-0.

Just before the half, Brandon Edwards would give the Rabbs some juice after a 41-yard run deep inside White Oak territory.

Batton added his second touchdown of the day from 15 yards out. Owens completed the two point try to Wells who made a great catch, and the score was 32-0 at the half.

In the third quarter Wells recovered another White Oak fumble deep in their territory.

The Rabbs took advantage again with Batton’s third touchdown of the game. Atlanta finished off the quarter up 38-0.

The defense would stand tall again and hold the Roughnecks to negative yards.

In the fourth quarter Cason Whatley handed the ball off to Braylen Rowe on a jet sweep to open the final stanza in a big way.

Rowe spun and sliced for a 68-yard touchdown. That set the score at 44-0.

Later in the fourth Range, Ty Waldon, Peyton Harrison, Kevion Sheppard and Eli Mitchell would all have nice runs to set the Rabbs up inside the five but time expired.

Other Standouts for the Rabbs included Sye Stroman, Zamarian Iveryc TJ Young, and Kheaton Kinney.

The Rabbs moved to 1-0 in district play with the win.
