903 Artisans show off in first Art Walk
Local art club 903 Artisans held their first Third Thursday Art Walk last week in downtown Atlanta last Thursday. Members displayed their work for sale at participating businesses, after hours, 5-7 p.m.
Holly Anson was paired with Grandma’s Attic, where she displayed a sampling of her work. Luana Taylor was stationed at Rocking A Western Wear.
Tara Collins was set up at Merle Norman Cosmetics. Nancy Coe had two displays – one at Ghecko Designs, and one at the office of Farmers Insurance/Kelli Cox. Kay Reynolds was at Racheal’s Marketplace; Judy Brown at Cobblestone. Sherry Quinn showed her works of art at The Kitchenette at Price Hardware and Ghecko Designs.
Ann Gaskin displayed her photography at Ole Rustic Treasures and Terri’s Treasures. Nadezda Westbrook showed her best works at Luigi’s Restaurant and The Estate Barn.
“It was a nice evening, and I met some new folks - always glad to know new people,” said Nancy Coe. “Also, we are hoping December will be bigger and better - maybe some live music downtown; and it should be more festive because of the holidays.”
903 Artisans was formed to bring awareness of and promote interest in the arts in the community. The next monthly meeting will be held Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. at Abundant Life Church, South Louise Street in Atlanta.
