Lady Bulldogs’ volleyball bests Pewitt

Queen City’s volleyball program battled Paul Pewitt in its first district battle Sept. 8.
The varsity squad won the first two sets, 25-19, 25-21, before Pewitt took the third set, 25-19.
QC slammed the door shut on the contest with a, 25-18, win in set four.
Freshman setter Mallori Stringer had six kills, 18 assists and 14 service points with five aces, junior Tia Wilson had 12 kills and four blocks with 12 service points, sophomore Setter Rylie Patillo had 12 assists, freshman Alex Larry had seven kills and senior Claire Bates had 12 service points.
The JV team dominated in two sets, 25-7, 25-13, with Kenayah Larry posting 11 service points and Serenity Oden recording six kills.
