COVID-19 Update

As of Thursday, Sept. 11, the Bowie County Emergency Operations Center reports a total of 1,074 positive COVID-19 cases, with 643 recoveries and 71 deaths. There are currently 360 active cases being traced in Bowie County.

Cass County has a total 273 cases with 246 recovered and 13 deaths. Cass County currently has 20 active cases.

Since the beginning of the current school year, Atlanta ISD reports a total of eight positive cases, Queen City ISD reports a total of five positive cases, McLeod ISD reports a total of eight positive cases, Linden-Kildare CISD reports a total of two positive cases, Bloomburg ISD reports a total of two positive cases, Hughes Springs ISD reports a total of two positive cases and Avinger ISD has no positive cases.

Beginning this week, the Emergency Operations Center announced that it will put out twice weekly updates rather than daily updates. These updates will be sent out on Monday and Thursday “unless something newsworthy happens throughout the week.”
