MUMS Intervention Groups have kicked off the school year with a competitive STEAM project.
Each grade level has been divided into six groups of about 10 students and given the assignment to create a plan for hosting a huge sporting event in Queen City.
The winning team in each grade level will be recognized and rewarded.
Principal, Susan Childress said, "We thought it would be fun and challenging to kick off the school year with a cross curricular project that not only keeps the students engaged but also promotes teamwork and thinking outside the box. The response from the student body has been overwhelmingly positive and some of the ideas that have come out of their brainstorming are amazing."
