Library celebrates grand reopening

On Saturday, June 20 the Linden Public Library celebrated its grand reopening with much fanfare. From noon to 4 P.M. Denise Haas, along with the Friends of the Library, the Linden Garden Club, and the City of Linden welcomed the citizens of Linden to visit the library as they celebrated the official reopening with food, door prizes, music, and fun for the whole family.

City Manager Bob Swisher and wife Brenda served hot dogs to guests. The Friends of the Library were set up taking donations for the library and giving away books that were no longer needed by the library.

Members of the Linden Garden Club had a booth set up for a raffle to help with a new roof for their building with a winner to be announced at the Second Saturday next month.

Indeed, the grand reopening was one of fun and festivities and most importantly a chance for the citizens of Linden to get out, visit, and find a good book for some summer reading.
