COVID-19 Update
As of Friday, Apr. 24, Cass County had a total of 15 confirmed cases of COVID-19 with seven of those recovered. An additional recovery was confirmed over the weekend.
Mobile testing for COVID-19 was available in Linden on Sunday at the Linden Economic Development Corporation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those presenting with symptoms such as fever, chills, cough (dry or productive), fatigue, body aches, muscle pain, joint pain, shortness of breath, sore throat, headaches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, nasal congestion, loss of taste, or loss of smell were given the test.
On Saturday, Cass County Judge Becky Wilbanks announced on her Facebook page that the testing was available to critical infrastructure workers who have continued working and in close contact with others. Emergency services, healthcare workers, government employees, and others were eligible to receive testing even if asymptomatic. Anyone over the age of 65 with any pre-existing condition was eligible as well.
