Bynum earns scholarship from Cypress Valley A&M Club

The Cypress Valley A&M Club is proud to announce that Karleen Bynum has been selected as the 2020-2021 Cypress Valley A&M Club scholarship recipient.

Bynum is the daughter of Rodney and Renee Bynum of Linden and a 2018 graduate of Linden-Kildare High School.

Bynum is currently a Class of 2022 Psychology major at Texas A&M University in College Station with plans of furthering her education with an Occupational Therapy post-graduate degree.

She is actively involved with two on-campus organizations that serve the Bryan/College Station communities, Aggie Sisters for Christ (ACS) and Sophomores Leading and Motivating (SLAM). Bynum also volunteers and represents the 5830 Rotary District at the RYLA leadership camp. Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) is a leadership camp in which two high school juniors from each school in the 5830 district get invited to grow their leadership and teamwork skills. Bynum says, “One of my passions in life is helping other people…. that is why I have chosen Occupational Therapy to help others develop and recover from injuries or illnesses that impose on meaningful daily activities.”
