MONDAY

THE ATLANTA AREA WOMEN’S CLUB meets at 5:30 p.m. the second Monday of each month at the Queen City United Methodist Church fellowship hall. The church is located at 304 Marietta St. in Queen City.

THE QUEEN CITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION meets at 6 p.m. the first Monday of every month at Catfish King. For more info. call 903-796-6108.

TUESDAY

THE CASS COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY meets on the second Tuesday of each month in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist Church of Queen City, located on the corner of Marietta and Fourth Streets. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. and everyone is invited. A light meal and beverages are always served. For more info, call 903-796-3081.

HOUR OF PRAYER is offered every Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at a new location, the Atlanta Church of God, located at 19730 FM 1841. Everyone is invited to come and go freely and to pray for our city, county, state, nation and our leaders. For more info, call the church at (903) 796-7807.

WEDNESDAY

J.K. HILEMAN ELE¬MENTARY SCHOOL will hold Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten registration for the 2020-2021 school year from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 2.

This includes Pre-K 3 year-old registration, Pre-K 4 year-old registration and Kindergarten registration. Registration will be held in the school library.

Please bring original birth certificate, immunization record, proof of residency and enrolling parent’s driver’s license. Proof of residency must be current and in the form of a utility bill, property tax form, or rental receipt. Enrolling students need to be present on day of registration.

FOR INCOME QUALIFIERS please bring one of the following: a current paycheck stub, current tax return if self-employed or current TANF or SNAP eligibility letter.

FOR LANGUAGE QUALIFIERS please fill out the Home Language Survey (provided by the school) or a language test will be administered to the child.

FOR MILITARY QUALIFIERS please bring one of the following: verification of U.S. Department of Defense photo ID, statement of service, copy of death certificate, copy of Purple Heart orders, copy of official letter from commander, copy of letter from U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs or documentation that service member is MIA.

FOSTER CARE QUALIFIERS bring a verification letter of Pre-K eligibility from DFPS.

STAR OF TEXAS AWARD QUALIFIERS bring a copy of the resolution (certificate) awarded to parent of child. For any questions please call the school at 903-796-6304. SATURDAY
