Greif, Inc., a world leader in industrial packaging products and services, held opening ceremonies on Wednesday March 4, 2020, for the launch of their new adhesive production system at their Atlanta, TX facility. The event included an official ribbon cutting ceremony involving City of Atlanta, Texas officials, Greif project team members and senior leadership. Attendees enjoyed an informative tour of the new adhesive production area to observe incoming raw materials, the adhesive mixing and cooking process, packaging equipment and finished products.

The new adhesive production line was two years in the making through direct collaboration among City of Atlanta, Texas officials and Greif project management, operations, maintenance and administrative colleagues. Greif senior leaders, Craig Rollins, VP & General Manager of Industrial Products Group, Henry Swenor, Director of West Operations, and Paul Brunson, Director Strategic Initiatives, all delivered opening remarks and extended special thanks to city officials David Cockrell, City Manager and Ricky Draper, Fire Marshall. David Cockrell provided inbound water analysis, outbound wastewater processing capabilities, and expedited city assistance on a new city water line service. Ricky Draper assisted with safety direction since inception and provided pre-emptive approaches including proper exit door locations, professional fire extinguisher training and appropriate locations.

The Greif Atlanta, TX facility, which operates spiral tube, core winding and paper slitting operations is excited about the new career opportunities for operations and transportation needed for the new adhesive production line.
