McLeod Junior High teams compete in Jefferson

Seventh Grade Boys

Trey Gant placed first in the 800m run with a time of 2:45.53 and first in the triple jump with a leap of 26 feet, 6 inches; Dylan Bouchard placed first in the 1600m run at 5:52.63 and Sal Byargeon placed third at 6:44.34 and in the 3200m run Bouchard placed first at 9:18.00 and Byargeon second at 10:29.00.

Eighth Grade Boys

Jaxon Smith placed fourth in the 100m dash at 12.66; Jase Deaton placed fifth in the 800m run at 2:32.53; Hudson Hataway placed first in the 1600m run at 5:38.43 and TJ Klingensmith placed second at 5:38.98; Jonathan McKnight placed second in the 2400m run at 8:59.00 and Klingensmith third at 9:01.00; Patrick Parker placed second in the 100m hurdles at 20.01 and first in the 300m hurdles at 49.41 and the 4x400m relay team of Smith, Parker, Hataway and Deaton placed fifth at 4:24.46.

In the long jump Smith placed sixth with a leap of 15 feet, 6 inches; Kannon Dempsey placed fourth in shot put with a toss of 35 feet, 1/2 inch and in the triple jump Austin McGray placed second at 30 feet, 7 inches and Grayson Owens was fifth at 25 feet, 6 inches.

Eighth Grade Girls

Lila McKnight placed sixth in the 100m dash with a time of 14.63; Aubrey Alexander placed fifth in the 200m dash at 30.46 and McKnight sixth at 31.09; Lacey Wright placed sixth at 7:42.13 in the 1600m run; Autumn prince placed first in the 2400m run at 11:35.00; Kenslee Cross placed fourth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 21.54 and Anna DeBeaux placed sixth at 23.18; DeBeaux placed fifth in the 300m hurdles at 1:10.09 and the 4x400m relay team of Wright, McKnight, Ellie Stoddard and Cross placed third at 5:23.96.

Cross placed fifth in the long jump event with a leap of 13 feet, 9 inches; Emily Sartor placed fourth in the shot put with a toss of 24 feet, 3 1/2 inches and Greta Feimster placed sixth at 24 feet, 2 3/4 inches and in discus Sartor placed sixth with a mark of 53 feet, 8 inches.
