Lions Club announces upcoming concerts

Lions Club met on Thursday, Mar. 5. Lion Joe DeNatale announced that meetings for the historical and non-fiction book club will be between noon and 1 p.m. at the Linden Public Library, every other Saturday.

Also announced were upcoming concerts being held at the Music City Texas Theater. On Mar. 28, Gene Watson will perform,

On April 2, Loco will perform, and on May 9, Moe Bandy will perform.

A reminder that the Lions Club State Convention is coming up starting on May 14.

The Lions Club also wished a very happy birthday to Lion Lucy Trahan.

This week’s special guest speaker was Summer Foster. Foster is the services sales representative for Taylor Power Systems.

Taylor Poser Systems offer generators for many industries including oil and gas, municipalities, agricultural, and health care. They are a U.S.-owned and operated company whose main office and production facility is located in Clinton, Mississippi.

They also have locations in Bessemer and Mobile, Alabama, Bossier City and Gonzales, Louisiana, and Fort Worth and Houston, Texas.
