Morris Upchurch Middle School wins second at academic district competition
The academic U.I.L. teams from Morris Upchurch Middle School competed in their district competition in December at Atlanta and at Queen City. The Queen City sixth through eighth grade students won second place in the junior high district. Fifth grade students from Queen City joined with the second through fourth grade students from J.K. Hileman Elementary School and won the third place spot. Fifth through eighth grade students earned 67 awards for placing in the top six individually. Another 87 awards were earned for placing in the top three teams in each event.
