Atlanta Middle School basketball claims tournament title in dominant fashion

Atlanta’s seventh grade basketball team placed first in tournament play last weekend. In the first contest the Rabbs beat Queen City, 35-20. Jamarion Austin led all scorers with 11 points, Markeylin Batton added nine points and Kheaton Kinney tabbed six. In the second game the Rabbits smashed the Hornets from Hooks, 54-15. Austin had 17 points, Braylen Rowe 14 points, Batton 11 points and Aiden Boston added six. In the championship game Atlanta drained Redwater, 64-30. Batton poured in 20 points, Boston added 17 with three treys, Austin added 16 and Kheaton Kinney tabbed eight points. The wins moved the Rabbs to (7-0) on the season.
