Madison Clayton signs to play tennis at Midway University

Bloomburg senior Madison Clayton has been recruited and offered an athletic scholarship from Midway University in Midway, Kentucky where she will attend and play tennis.

She plans to major in Psychology to pursue a career in psychological therapy.

Madison will be the first athlete from Bloomburg to play tennis collegiately and one of the few to receive an athletic scholarship in any sport.

Madison is the daughter of Ali and Michael Clayton, the granddaughter of the late Jack Epperson and Kathy and Tim James of Bloomburg, the great-granddaughter of Betty Brunette and Virgil and Dorothy Ternado and sister to Tori and Trey Clayton.

She has attended Bloomburg for seven years, has been a member of National Honor Society for three years, competed in one act play for two years and has served as yearbook editor for three years.

As far as athletically Madison has played basketball for two years, ran cross-country for one year and has played tennis for four years at the varsity level.

Madison is a two-time District Champ and Regional Qualifier in tennis and has placed top three in twelve tennis meets through her varsity years.
