Center steps up with entertainment
For the mature adult set, finding something to entertain one’s self can be a bit of a challenge these days. The world has gone digital, which means more screen time and less going and doing time.
That is where the Atlanta Senior Center steps up. Every Monday through Friday they are open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for those interested in less technology and more socializing.
Wednesdays are especially fun as the Center offers up live music and a wonderfully delicious lunch. Playing music from a time gone by, the center is filled with the wonderful notes and melodies of a time when life was simpler. It brings one back to a bygone era where kids played outside and adults sat on front porches sipping sweet tea.
The picking, grinning, and dancing starts every Wednesday at 10 a.m. and goes until 11 a.m. when lunch is served. All are invited to come out and enjoy all the social activities the Center has to offer Monday through Friday at 306 W Miller Street in Atlanta.
