LEDC assistant: Two months into the job

Small town life isn’t for everyone. Some crave the hustle and bustle of big city life. For McLeod resident and Executive Assistant Authur Kimmel, small town life is exactly where he wants to be. That is why in October of 2019, he joined the Linden Economic Development Corporation to work with the people of Linden to help the town grow and still maintain the charms of small town living.

Indeed, in the few months he has been with the LEDC he has had many amazing experiences. Trying all of the delicious offerings at the Taste of Linden, visiting all of the local businesses, and even helping Lions Club with the pumpkin decorating contest during the Halloween festivities. He even says that he would eventually love to join Lions Club. He has also been able to help work on Project 1934, the restoration of the historic 1934 Linden water tower.

While Kimmel’s main focus is always growing Linden, he also has a passion for education. He is a tutor part time, calling his service “The Nomadic Know-ly-All, and eventually would love to open a place in Linden where he can offer tutoring services to those in need of one.

He still plans to move and make Linden his home. His love of his job and the town are boundless. Authur is very honored to work for LEDC and especially enjoys working with Christophe Trahan who is the Executive Director for LEDC. When asked what his favorite part of his job is, he responded with working with Christoph and preparing the meetings for the Board of Directors.

He would like to thank the residents for welcoming him to Linden and he looks forward to serving Linden now and in the future.
