M.U.M.S. band students earn chance to play at All-Region Band Concert
Morris Upchurch Middle School Symphonic Band students competed recently in the ATSSB Region 4 North Zone All-Region Band Auditions.
Hundreds of seventh and eighth grade musicians from more than a dozen middle schools in Region 4 compete annually in this individual competition.
The following students earned placements in the All-Region Band and will participate in the Region 4 North Zone All-Region Band Clinic and Concert January 24-25 at Gladewater High School: Alyssa Delgado - 2nd alternate clarinet; Josie Beckham - 3rd alternate clarinet; Zoey Martinez - 6th chair baritone; Cade Warren - 7th chair percussion, Jeremiah Turner - 4th chair trumpet, Kaylin Butler - 4th chair clarinet; Kynlee Butler - 4th alternate clarinet; Madison Chickadel - 4th chair bass clarinet; Laurel Moore - 2nd alternate alto saxophone; Caden Vess - 6th chair percussion; Preston Scoggins - 13th chair clarinet (second year in a row) and Lilly Holley - 16th chair clarinet.
