Several Atlanta Rabbits earn 7-3A, DI superlative honors
The District 7-3A Division I All-District honors were recently released and several Rabbits received recognition.
Along with those honors three Atlanta football players made the Academic All-State list.
Senior linebacker Connor Samples was named Co-Defensive MVP, senior Cade Fant was named Offensive Lineman of the Year, junior Terunte Neal earned Utility Player of the Year honors and sophomore Cooper McClure earned Special Teams Player of the Year honors.
Earning First Team honors were: senior Kade Wood, quarterback; senior J.J. Fields, receiver; sophomore De’Korian Parker, linebacker and senior DeGregory King, defensive end.
Earning Second Team honors were: junior Logan Shelton, linebacker; junior Trey Adams, defensive line; junior Tyrell King, offensive line and senior Xavier Coleman, defensive back;
Earning Honorable Mention honors were: sophomore Keith Kinney, running back; senior Dra Nelson, running back; junior Caleb Hamilton, running back; senior Jared Cowgill, offensive line; sophomore Clay Fant, offensive line; junior Jordan Stiger, fullback and senior James Joslin, offensive line.
Connor Samples and Jared Cowgill both made the Academic All-State Second Team and Cade Fant was selected to the Academic All-State Honorable Mention list.
