Randy Rogers appears at Music City Texas
Music can be therapeutic, healing even. Our favorite songs have a deep and personal meaning.
The twang of an acoustic guitar, the hum of a violin, together have the ability to make one dance and smile and sing along to words that can resonate deep in one’s soul.
Randy Rogers and fellow bandmate, Brady Black, both of Randy Rogers Band, brought that feeling to Linden on Friday at Music City Texas Theater. Playing their music acoustic, they had the audience singing along to upbeat songs and slow dancing in the isles to love songs sweeter than Texas sweet tea.
Formed in San Marcos, Texas, they recorded their first album live. In 2002 they were signed to a label and recorded their first studio album Like It Used to Be. From there, the band rose to fame with hits such as Lost and Found, Kiss Me in the Dark, and One More Goodbye. They released their eighth studio album Hellbent in April.
Rogers said that Music City Texas Theater was one of his favorite places to perform. The hospitality that him and Black were shown was phenomenal.
The native Texan, who is from Cleburne, Texas, told stories behind some of the songs and even gave those in attendance an encore.
Indeed, Randy Rogers and Brady Black gave a rousing performance, enticing the audience to feel their music and enjoy a night of wonderful country music.
