Queen City ISD

Queen City ISD honored local veterans on all three campuses last week.

Third grade students at J.K. Hileman kicked off the festivities under the leadership of music teacher, Sandy Price with a program filled with patriotic songs and meaningful words of thanks.

Veterans were adorned with medals and invited to enjoy cake and punch in the library afterward.

The students at Morris Upchurch Middle School invited their favorite veterans to a special red, white and blue luncheon Nov.11.

Queen City High School students recognized local veterans at their program, “Honoring those who Serve” and hosted a breakfast for the veterans and their family members Nov. 11.

During the program, QCHS students who have already committed to the military were also recognized and given the opportunity to greet and thank some of their hometown heroes.
