Daughters donate to local veterans

Mark Epperson Chapter United States Daughters of 1812 members are collecting personal-sized toiletry items to donate to local veterans.  At their last meeting, the ladies brought 154 items which were taken to the Office of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic in Texarkana.  Chapter members Nancy Belford and Kay Stephens presented them to Administrative Officer Charles Jordan to be included in personal care packets that are given to veterans who are patients at the clinic. Jordan is an Army veteran who was wounded in Iraq, and he has a true heart for helping his fellow veterans.
