22nd Annual People Who Care Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Each year Carpenter Ministries hosts a Thanksgiving meal for those in need or do not have a family to be with for the holiday. They also deliver meals, especially to our area senior citizens who will not receive a holiday meal from meals on wheels that day.

The People Who Care Community Thanksgiving Dinner is an event that serves and delivers meals to anyone who may not otherwise have an opportunity to enjoy a Traditional Thanksgiving meal every year. Many of these are elderly who have no family to enjoy a meal with or for. There will be those who because of financial hardship are unable to provide for their family this meal, and there are those who have no family and would otherwise spend this day alone. They do NOT charge for this meal regardless of financial status.

They are able to provide this service to our community because of the volunteers who come serve and deliver meals, others make financial donations to help defray the cost of paper goods and to purchase the meats and dressings that we also contribute. Others donate some of the desserts, breads and other food items.

Carpenter Ministries is looking for volunteers for their 22nd Annual People Who Care.

Volunteers needed to:

• To Serve meals and/or deliver meals

• Donate prepared ready to serve Turkey and/or Ham, Side dishes or Desserts

• Contribute financially

• Help with cleanup

• Mingle and fellowship with those to come to the center for a meal

Volunteers are free to come as they have time to serve, from 8:30-2:00. Meals will be served and delivered from 11:00- 12:30 on Nov 28th, 2019

Location is at the Family Life Center of the Allday St 1st Baptist Church, 207 Allday Street, and located one block west of the Atlanta Police Department.

Senior Citizens can have a meal delivered to them by calling 903 799 9136 between 9:00-11:30 ON THANKSGIVING MORNING ONLY Do NOT call before then ... NO pre-orders will be taken.
