“After reviewing letter writing skills and persuasive writing, 4th and 5th grade students wrote to Mount Pleasant Home Depot requesting a donation of an electric fireplace. In the letter, students described how an electric fireplace would provide a comforting environment that will encourage reading. Thank you to Home Depot’s Mindy Nichols, Linda Burleson, Tonya Lyles, and Cora Arguillard for the fireplace, crafts and painting supplies.” - Susan Giles The 4/5th grade class have enjoyed reading so much more since receiving their fireplace.
