Second Saturday is this weekend

Downtown businesses in Linden have been holding the monthly shopping event known as Second Saturday for almost a full year!

The Second Saturday events were started in an effort to give the downtown businesses a single weekend of the month to all rally together and maintain regular business hours on the second Saturday of every month from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Participating businesses have also used these monthly shopping events to hold special sales and promotions designed to promote their standout product lines and services.

In addition to business participation, local organizations such as the Linden Area Chamber of Commerce and Linden Main Street have made contributions to the events as well.

The Chamber of Commerce purchased several signs that they disperse around the city every month to remind citizens of the event, while Linden Main Street has funded entertainment ranging from live music to bounce houses at several of the events as well.
