Linden Mainstreet hosts public forum
Linden Mainstreet hosted a public forum Monday night in hopes of getting feedback from the community and local main-street businesses. According to their website the purpose of the meeting was to get “input on what a great downtown would look like… and feedback from our community as we put together our plan of work for the coming year.”
During the first part of the meeting Allie Anderson, the Main Street Manager directed people to brainstorm some of the accomplishments, and some of the challenges that the Linden Mainstreet has.
Several occurring themes for what people were proud of were the positive changes to the walk areas of main-street like the flower planters. Lucy Trahan commented how proud of the positive exterior changes of the square and the improvements to one of the buildings that replaced the windows.
A couple of the reoccurring challenges that were pointed out, other than some infrastructure changes, included participation and advertising.
