Mooney Tournament is this weekend at McLeod

McLeod ISD will host the Mooney Tournament this Saturday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

All funds raised will go into the medical account for the expenses of one of our high school juniors and his sister, both of whom have been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.

Included in the tournament will be good basketball, a silent auction, a bake sale, and good food in the concession stand.

Please make plans to drop by and enjoy a quick lunch, purchase a good home baked dessert and bid on items in the silent auction.

We now have more than 40 items in the silent auction--some include a very well-bred German Shepherd puppy that should be born in December, a fire pit/grill, gift baskets, gift certificates, jewelry, wall art, a compound bow, a drone, Fall decor, home decor and a baseball signed by Nolan Ryan.

We are anticipating more than 40 different baked goods.

The concession stand will have baked potatoes in addition to the usual ballgame choices.

There will also be a donation jar if you just simply wish to help with the cause. Every item in the concession stand, bake sale, and silent auction has been donated.

Officials are donating their time. Every cent that comes in will go directly to medical expenses for the Mooney family.

Our fundraiser will not be successful without the support of our community!

Please make plans to join us this Saturday, Sept. 14.
