In memory
Linden’s Ruth Brown prepares the cedar planters, made for her by her late son, Timothy, for use in Main Street’s beautification project for downtown. “I stay pretty busy,” Brown said, of dealing with her grief. “Not a day goes by that I don’t think of him.” Brown lost her son in a car accident in December, just a few days prior to his 19th birthday. Timothy graduated from Linden Kildare in May of last year and was attending college classes at Texarkana College at the time of his passing. Timothy enjoyed the outdoors, agriculture and being with family and friends. “He had so many good friends,” Brown remembered fondly. Brown enjoys working with Linden’s Main Street and playing with her grandson these days. She hopes to get in touch with the land owner near the site of her son’s accident to see about placing a cross there in memory.
