Rodeo is a thrilling ride

What do you get when you mix livestock, food, and a good time? You get Linden’s 19th Annual Rodeo! With so many events happening, there was more than enough to keep your attention on the arena. From the tasty lemonade and fluffy bunnies to the Bronco riders and calf roping, there was no disappointment.

Announcer Brandon Motley kept everyone informed and used his humor to arouse many laughs from the crowd, all while the hilarious rodeo clowns gave us a show; there was always something to see.

One eye-capturing event was the Mutton Bustin. There were some tough, determined, and young kids out there, but only two could win. Friday night’s Mutton Bustin winner was Camden Alderman. This little cowboy was able to straddle his sheep long enough to receive an 80 point score! What a ride!

Saturday’s winner was Raider Butler. At less than six years old, it is safe to say he raided the competition with his 75-point ride! Congratulations to these two Champions for their achievement this 2019 Rodeo.

In another event, Easton Power, at only four years old, was brave enough to conquer riding a bull! The youngest in the list of contestants, and he blew the event out of the water. Congratulations to him for this outstanding achievement.

Some might wonder where do the funds for an event like this go? Friday night’s ticket sales were donated to the Cass County Relay for Life organization. Each ticket gave just a little more than they had and all were appreciated.

Cass County Sun congratulates the other winners of this 19th Annual Rodeo, for their sheer determination and skill!

We hope to saddle up and see another thrilling show next year!
