Linden leading ladies lauded at annual luncheon

Linden’s leading ladies met up for lunch Wednesday at First Baptist Church, the luncheon was hosted by the Cass County Sun.

Working Women were honored Wednesday, with a light lunch of Subway sandwiches, cookies, lemonade and drawings for door prizes, donated by area businesses.

Shawn Larson, Cass County Sun publisher, provided roses in appreciation of area women and their hard work in the community. Roses stood in a vase near the door and centered rounded tables, adorned with confetti and chocolates.

Area women trickled through during their breaks, with most sitting and visiting with one another while they ate. Of course, some were so busy they could only stop by for a moment to grab a bite to bring back to their jobs for themselves and coworkers who were working through lunch.

Amy, executive assistant to the Sun’s sister paper, Citizen’s Journal, and Janet, chief advertising saleswoman for both papers, handed out the latest editions of both papers and greeted women at the door with a smile. County employees, courthouse employees, area law enforcement, chamber members, office administrators, Phynet Clinic and Focused Care of Linden employees were just a few of the workers who were present. The luncheon was made possible with contributions and gifts donated for giveaways by:
