Daughters of 1812 donate books

Members of Mark Epperson Chapter United States Daughters of 1812 gathered at Linden Public Library on Aug. 6 to donate four children’s books on the War of 1812.
The books included three nonfiction and one fiction.
Donating War of 1812 period books to local public and school libraries is one way in which the lineage society members help to promote education about America’s second war for independence from Great Britain as well as patriotism to America.
