Christus brings in the Christmas season

Christus St. Michael Hospital – Atlanta and Genesis PrimeCare Ellington Memorial Clinic celebrated its “Emmanuel: God with Us” Christmas lighting celebration on Dec. 7 with music, the Biblical Christmas Story and the arrival of Santa and his elves.
Thomas McKinney, Christus St. Michael Hospital – Atlanta administrator, welcomed guest who braved the frigid temperatures to attend the fifth annual Christmas Lighting Celebration held in front of the hospital.
Guest watched children from First Baptist Church Queen City choir sing “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” and “Here Comes Santa Claus.”
Judy Turner and Pam Purtle read the Biblical Christmas story.
Mary Langston and Georgia Tumblin had the honor of flipping the switch, lighting up the tree and campus.
Santa and his elves made their arrival in a red corvette to the excited cheers of children and adults.
After the outdoor festivities, parents and children meandered in to the hospital atrium to share their Christmas wishes with Santa before warming up with hot chocolate and baked cookies.
