JERRY R. CHAMBLEE
May 10, 1941 - June 24, 2017
Jerry R. Chamblee, 76, of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 24, 2017, in a Tyler hospital.
Ge was born in Cass County, the youngest of five children, May 10, 1941, to Austin John Chamblee and Lizzie Mae Brown Chamblee. He graduated from Atlanta High School in 1960, served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War, later was employed by Red River Army Depot until retirement in 1994 and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Louise Chamblee Simmons, Martha Kennedy and a sister who died in infancy; brother, Paschal Chamblee; niece, Trina Chamblee Thomas; and a great-niece, Jacquline Thomas.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dorothy “Dottie” Chamblee; nephew, James Kennedy I and wife Sandra; two great-nephews, James Kennedy II, and Adam Kennedy; great-niece, Tabitha Hogue and husband Dallas of Corinth; niece, Sandra Stuckey; great-nephew, Danny Stuckey and wife Savannah of Atlanta; great-great-niece, Danielle Stuckey; niece, Brenda Simmons Hargis and husband Carl of Kilgore; great-nephew, Aaron Stice of Bowie; niece, Veneda Staggs of Kilgore; niece, Linda Taylor and husband K. T. of Cold Springs; great-nephew, Josef Jefferson Olson; great-niece, Zephyr Olson; numerous Chamblee and Brown cousins; and wonderful friends and neighbors of the Smyrna Baptist Church Family.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at the Smyrna Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 29, at the Smyrna Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Terry and Bro. Gene Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Billie Stone, 70, of Daingerfield, died Wednesday, June 21, 2017.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday, June 23, at the Church on the Rock. Interment followed at Clark Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs.

J. Helen Ellis, 81, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at Harris Chapel United Methodist Church. Interment followed at Harris Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs.
