McLeod’s baseball team defeated Cayuga in a best-of-three series and claimed an area championship. The Longhorns face Hawkins in the regional quarterfinals beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 20. Game two is set for Saturday, May 22 with game three to follow if necessary. All games will be played at Gary High School. Keep an eye on school websites and Facebook pages for changes due to weather or other circumstances.
A Town Hall meeting will be held on Saturday, May 22 at Center Hill Baptist Church in Linden at 5:00 p.m. by the Center Hill Volunteer Fire Department to discuss the creation of Cass County Emergency Service District #4 which will include the Center Hill Volunteer Fire Department’s coverage area.
