The characters who manage to overcome adversity, the princesses who never fail to get their happy ending, and the side characters who make us laugh and give us an almost endless supply of hilarious and often relatable quotes. That magic does not have to end with movies and quotes. This week’s recipe section is inspired by three magical Disney movies that either center around food or feature the food at some point. The Linden Police Department is joining forces with the Texas Department of Public Safety and local law enforcement agencies throughout Texas to increase seat belt use in anticipation of Memorial Day related travel.

Some of the newest members of Mark Epperson Chapter United States Daughters of 1812 recently shared their beautiful membership certificates at a chapter meeting. The lineage society’s official certificate depicts a window in St. Michael’s and All Angels Church in Dartmoor, England. American prisoners of war in the War of 1812 built the church. U.S. Daughters of 1812 donated the window. Pictured left to right are Charlotte Withrow, Davy Jo Rogers, and Betty Matthews.
